Passport of Achievement
At Kirton Primary School, we are proud to offer our children the opportunity to take part in our Passport of Achievement programme each year.
The Passport of Achievement is designed to encourage learning beyond the classroom and promote curiosity, independence and adventure. Through a range of exciting challenges completed at home and at school, children are encouraged to develop new skills, discover interests and enjoy valuable family learning time. Challenges may include maths or phonics activities, creative projects and art tasks, outdoor exploration, or searching for and discovering something new in the world around them. Our aim is to nurture a love of learning that extends far beyond the school day.
Each child will receive their own passport at the start of the programme. This is an important document and must be kept safe, as it will accompany them throughout the year. The passport becomes a record of their achievements as they complete challenges, and children have until the end of Term 6 to finish them. Those who complete all of the challenges — with the required evidence verified in their passport — will be awarded a special Medal of Honour.
Children do not need to complete the challenges in order; they are encouraged to plan their own successful journey. We ask families to support by helping children read the challenges carefully, plan how they will meet them and check what proof is required. Some tasks may need a signature, photograph or other evidence to be added to the passport.
We look forward to celebrating the children’s achievements and seeing the creativity, determination and enthusiasm they show along the way.

Celebrating Success
Once a passport is completed, it is proudly signed by class teachers and Mr Neall. Children are then rewarded with:
-
special achievement stickers and stamps
-
a coloured medal to celebrate their success
Each year group earns a different coloured medal. As children progress through the school, they work towards collecting a full rainbow set of medals by Year 6 — a wonderful symbol of their dedication, growth and achievement throughout their primary school journey.
The Passport of Achievement is a brilliant way to celebrate effort, perseverance and a love of learning. We are incredibly proud of all the children who take part and embrace the challenge each year.
