Numbots
At our school, we use NumBots to help children build strong foundations in maths through fun, interactive learning.
NumBots is an online learning platform designed to support children in developing their addition and subtraction skills. It helps pupils understand numbers, number bonds, and how numbers relate to each other – key skills that support progress in all areas of mathematics.

How does NumBots work?
NumBots uses short, engaging activities and games that adapt to each child’s ability level. Children move through different levels at their own pace, gaining confidence and fluency as they go. The focus is on understanding numbers, not just memorising facts.
Why do we use NumBots?
-
Builds strong number sense and mental maths skills
-
Supports addition and subtraction up to 100 and beyond
-
Encourages confidence and enjoyment in maths
-
Adapts to individual learning needs
-
Provides instant feedback and rewards to motivate learners

Who is NumBots for?
NumBots is mainly used in Early Years and Key Stage 1, but it can also be helpful for older children who need extra practice with number skills.
Using NumBots at home
Children can access NumBots both in school and at home using their personal login details. Regular short sessions (around 10 minutes) are far more effective than longer, less frequent ones. Practising at home helps reinforce learning done in class and boosts confidence.
How parents can help
-
Encourage regular, short practice sessions
-
Talk about numbers in everyday life (shopping, cooking, counting)
-
Celebrate effort and progress, not just scores
If you have any questions about NumBots or need help accessing it at home, please speak to your child’s class teacher. Your child has a registered account set up through school so you do not need to pay for a subscription.
