Every week, children who read at least 4 times outside school, with each session logged on BoomReader by an adult, will earn a ticket for their class prize draw. At the end of each term, one lucky child from every class will be chosen at random to visit our magical bookstore! π°π We want every child to discover that reading is more than a school activity β itβs an adventure! From flying on broomsticks to exploring enchanted forests, books can take us anywhere. β¨ How can you help? Simply support your child to read at least four times each week and log every session on BoomReader. From designing and building strong bridges in science to building and painting birdhouses, making clay pots, weaving initials with wool and creating bookmarks, the children have had plenty of opportunities to get creative and try something new. They have also been busy designing their own video games before testing and playing each otherβs creations. Outside, teamwork and sporting skills were put to the test in a lively game of Danish Long Ball, with lots of enthusiasm, determination and team spirit on display! 14 Likes

As part of our topic on local famous people, we enjoyed learning all about his life and the important discoveries he made. We explored the house where he grew up and discovered how his ideas helped us understand the world around us. It was a brilliant opportunity to bring our learning to life and find out more about one of our most famous local people! πππ 12 Likes
Photos from Kirton Primary School's postChicks enjoyed a lovely nature walk around Coronation Garden, exploring all the wonderful signs of autumn! ππ We collected lots of beautiful autumn leaves and talked about their different colours, sizes and how they had changed as the seasons begin to turn. π The children then used their lovely finds to create their very own autumn hedgehogs! π¦ Chicks did a fantastic job, and their creations look absolutely amazing displayed on our seasons window! πβ€οΈ Well done, Chicks, for such wonderful autumnal artwork! ππ 14 Likes
